The Industrial Sustainability Best Practices Conference, taking place June 17-18 in Castelldefels, Barcelona, Spain, announced the presentation “Certifying Cooling Tower Thermal Performance,” led by Ian Butler, Business Partnership Manager, Eurovent Certification.
Facility managers and specifying engineers responsible for a plant or building’s cooling equipment operation can be at the mercy of vendors greenwashing, by overstating the efficiency of their units. Over- or under-sized systems can cause efficiency losses, underperformance, processes being put at risk or not meeting demand on a hot day. This presentation will share the importance of third-party thermal certification in the selection of cooling equipment.
The Conference will be led by 24 industrial experts with presentations covering the event’s main focus topics including energy/water conservation and food-safe system design and quality verification.

Ian Butler, Business Partnership Manager, Eurovent Certification
Butler is an accredited auditor and serves as program manager for cooling towers and drift eliminators at Eurovent Certification. He earned his HNC in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree from the Anglia Polytechnic University of Chelmsford & Cambridge.
Eurovent Certification is a sponsor of the Conference and will be at booth 302 in the exhibits hall.
