Piab launched its BCP suction cups series, designed to deliver higher reliability, improved energy efficiency and greater flexibility in a wide range of automated handling applications.

Piab’s BCP suction cups series
Developed for demanding industrial environments, the BCP suction cups combine a robust, wear-resistant material with a carefully engineered design to ensure secure, stable grip on a variety of surfaces. This makes them ideal for applications in packaging, logistics, automotive, plastics and general manufacturing where uptime and process reliability are critical.
The BCP suction cups have been engineered to support modern, high-speed automation systems. The cup geometry is optimized to grip both smooth and slightly textured or uneven surfaces, helping reduce rejects and product damage. A reinforced body and advanced lip design minimize deformation under load, enabling consistent handling even at high accelerations and cycle rates. The cups are designed to create and maintain a strong seal with lower vacuum levels, supporting more energy-efficient systems and smaller vacuum pumps or ejectors. The cups’ durable, chemical-resistant materials extend operating life and help reduce unplanned downtime and maintenance costs.
To support a wide variety of machine designs and retrofits, the BCP suction cups are available in multiple sizes, shapes and connection options, making it easy for OEMs, integrators and end users to adapt the cups to existing tooling layouts and gripper systems.
The BCP suction cups have been tested and validated in a range of real-world applications, including case and carton handling in packaging and logistics, plastic parts handling in injection molding and assembly and sheet and component handling in automotive and general industry. By combining strong grip performance with long life and flexible mounting options, the BCP series helps manufacturers and logistics providers improve the overall effectiveness of their automated handling systems.
